
In a colourful ceremony, the Laragunsin of Iyansan, Oba Akinyomi Olasehinde John, was formally presented with the instrument of appointment and staff of office, symbolizing his official recognition and authority as the traditional ruler of Iyansan.
The event, which took place at the Laragunsin Grammar School Playing Ground, Ode-Iyansan, in Irele Local Government, began with a welcoming address by the Acting Chairman of Irele Local Government Transition Committee, Hon. Daisi Akinrodoye, whose administration has recorded another milestone with today’s event, adding to his impressive list of achievements in less than one month in office.
The Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, was ably represented by his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami mni, who presented the instrument of appointment and staff of office to the Laragunsin of Iyansan.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including a delegation of Ikale royal fathers, led by the Abodi of Ikale land, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion, showcasing the unity and solidarity among traditional rulers in the region.
The presentation of instrument of appointment and staff of office marks a landmark achievement in the history of Iyansan, as it reinforces the Laragunsin’s position as the custodian of the community’s culture, traditions, and values.
