Says OSOPADEC Will Key Into Mr. Governor’s Vision To Transform Mandate Areas
OSOPADEC Secretary, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole has congratulated Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State and the Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his declaration as the winner of the just concluded 2024 Ondo State Governorship election.
In a declaration made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the State Headquarters in Akure on Sunday, the incumbent Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa polled 366,781 votes to defeat 17 other contenders including his closest rival, Hon. Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic (PDP) who scored 117,845 votes.
In a congratulatory message issued shortly after the declaration, Princess Bayo-Ilawole described the landslide victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa who won in all the 18 Local Government Areas of the State as a vote of confidence in his administration and deep conviction in his capacity to take the State to greater heights.
“On behalf of the Management and Staff of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), as well as the good people of our mandate areas (Ilaje and Ese-Odo LGAs), I heartily congratulate our amiable and dependable Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami on their resounding victories at the 2024 Governorship Election, held across the State yesterday, Saturday November 16, 2024.
“Loudly and clearly, the people of Ondo State have spoken with their votes. The landslide victory is a vote of confidence on the administration of His Excellency; and the reflection of their passionate belief in his capacity to restore the lost fortunes of the State through the formulation and implementation of people-oriented policies.
“Indeed, it is a new dawn for our people in the coastal region of the State. OSOPADEC as an Agency established to oversee the development of the oil producing areas, we are pledging our renewed commitment to key into the vision of Mr. Governor’s administration which purely centers on the development of the mandate areas.
“We shall continue to cooperate with your administration and collaborate with relevant agencies to implement projects and programmes that will accelerate the development of our region and bring total prosperity to our people.
“We pray your tenure as the Executive Governor of our dear State will be successful and impactful with indelible legacies of transformational leadership that will directly affect the lives and destinies of your people and generations yet unborn” Princess Bayo-Ilawole said.
