
The Board, Management, and Staff of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) joined family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Commission’s Secretary, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole, Ph.D.
The golden jubilee celebration took place on Monday at the Commission’s headquarters in Oba-Ile, Akure.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of OSOPADEC, Prince Biyi Poroye, extolled the sterling achievements of the Secretary, describing her as a visionary administrator and a resolute bureaucrat with unwavering dedication to service.
“Since your appointment by Mr. Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as Secretary of this noble Commission, your innovative and compassionate leadership has transformed lives and significantly improved the welfare of staff and residents across the mandate areas,” he said.
Prince Poroye encouraged members of staff to make it a habit to celebrate one another, whether through birthdays, milestones, or personal achievements. He emphasized that such thoughtful gestures go a long way in fostering unity, strengthening interpersonal relationships, and creating a more harmonious and motivated work environment.
According to him, taking time to acknowledge and appreciate one another not only uplifts individual morale but also contributes to a more productive and collaborative workplace culture.
In her appreciation speech, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman, Board Members, Management, and Staff for their show of love and support on her special day.
“I am truly overwhelmed by your exceptional show of love and support. Today, I am convinced that I have solid people who stand by me and celebrate me. God bless you all,” she said.
