
Hon. (Engr.) Alore Omosuyi, took a significant move to addressed the recent communal clash that erupted in Ugbo-nla Community, with a deep sense of responsibility and concern for the welfare of the citizens.
Upon receiving reports of the conflict, I swiftly led a team of security personnel, including Navy and Police offer’s, to Ugbo-Nla to restore order and ensure the safety of lives and property. Our prompt intervention was instrumental in preventing further escalation of the violence.
The communal clash, which reportedly involved two factions – The Most Rt. Rev. Mobolorunduro Henry’s group and Mr. Ebiwano Adebowale Baale’s group – resulted in the unfortunate loss of one life, with two others hospitalized and one reported missing. Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the affected individuals.
As we worked to restore calm to the community, I took the opportunity to engage with the residents of Ugbo-Nla, reassuring them of the government’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property. I emphasized that the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will not tolerate any form of violence or lawlessness under his leadership.
I also seized opportunity to caution the youths of Ugbo-nla community and Ilaje at large against involving in any form of violence, no matter the provocation. I urged them to channel their energies towards promoting peace, understanding, and development in their community.
As we move forward, the Ondo State Government has pledged to provide swift intervention to resolve the conflict and prevent future occurrences.
We are committed to working closely with the community leaders and stakeholders to address the underlying issues that led to the clash.
In conclusion, I wish to reiterate the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order in Ondo State. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our citizens live in peace and harmony, free from fear of violence or intimidation.
I would like to express my appreciation to the security personnel, including Navy and Police officer’s, for their professionalism and bravery in restoring order to Ugbo-Nla. Their selfless service to the state is truly commendable.
Once again, I urge the people of Ugbo-Nla and indeed all citizens of Ondo State to remain peaceful and law-abiding, as we work together to build a more prosperous and secure future for our state.
