It was a momentous and joyous time at the Ilaje Local Government Secretariat today Wednesday February 26th , 2025 as the Executive Chairman of Ilaje LG Hon Maurice Oripenaye (Arah) sworn in Hon Segun Odolo as the new Secretary to Ilaje LG in his office and also inaugurated the 12 Ward Councillors-elect at their Legislative House at the LG Complex.
While speaking after the official Swearing of the New Secretary to Ilaje LG Hon Segun Odolo and the 12 Ward Councillors-elect, the Executive Chairman of Ilaje LG extends his unreserved warmest congratulations to new Secretary and the Ward Councillors, charging them to discharge their duties with high sense of committment and dedication. Moreover, the Executive Chairman expressed a need for a synergy or harmonious working relationship among the Executive Members, the LG Staff and the Legislative Members (Councillors) which can foster Unity, love and development in the LG Council. Hon Omosule Ikuemehinlo francis (Mahin Ward 3) emerged as the ilaje LG Leader of the 8th Session of the legislative Council while Hon Terry Tayo Sedara became the Deputy.
Present alongside with the Ilaje LG Executive Chairman were the LG new Executive Vice Chairman Hon(Mrs) Oluwarantimi Esejuwon, Mr Omodara Gbenga(Ilaje LG HOLGA), Mr Ojo Gbenga( Ilaje LG DFS), Dr Olorunsemi Akin Akindoyo( Ilaje LG Clerk of the House), Mr Falomo Felix (Deputy Clerk) ,NULGE Chairman, Ilaje LG Comr. Ayese Bolaji, NULGE Secretary Ilaje LG Comr. Ojulari Micheal, Hon Akingboye Raphael(APC Ilaje LG Party Chairman), Hon Olatokunbo Iwamisan (Party Vice Chairman), Hon Malon Ogbaro(APC LG Party Secretary), Hon Mafolabomi Daniel (APC Party PRO ), Hon. (Mrs) Ronke Efurubu(APC Ilaje LG General Woman Leader, all LCDAs Chairmen and Chairperson, ex-Chairmen, Party Leaders, Ward Councillors, the Security Agents, and host of other Stakeholders.Also present were LG Staff, Friends, Families and Wellwishers at the Secretariat Premises to celebrate with the newly inaugurated LG Secretary and the 12 Ward Councillors.
Finally, Hon Oripenaye(Arah) expressed a deep appreciation to H. E Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his purpose-driven leadership that gavebirth to today’s achievement or new dawn in our Council.He also thanked all LG Staff, Political Leaders, the new Secretary to the Council, the Ward Councillors, the Press, the Chairman’s Aides and other Stateholders who attended the inauguration/Swearing-in event in ilaje LG.
