Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Prince Adeyemi Nejo, has said his administration would focus on provision of security, agriculture and quality healthcare if elected Governor in the November 16th governorship polls in Ondo State.
Prince Nejo said he would partner with Israel for the training of operatives of the Amotekun Corps as well as provision of modern security gadgets.
Nejo, who spoke in an interview in Akure, said his administration would ensure farmers go to the farms without fear of being kidnapped.
He said the high cost of fuel made his campaign team change strategy to visit electorates in their homes instead of open rallies.
The ADC candidate urged the Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar in led National Peace Committee to sign an accord with the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Police on credible polls before meeting with candidates to sign peace accord.
He said his interaction with electorates has shown voter’s apathy would be experienced during the polls due to the lack of trust in INEC and the police.
Nejo stated that reports from the recent Edo governorship election further dampened the desire for voters to troop out and vote.
He said, “The National Peace Committee should first sign a peace accord with INEC and the Police and not the candidates.
“INEC and the police are the problem of elections in Nigeria. What peace accord are they looking for? Look at what happened in Edo State. Ondo People are no longer interested in the APC remaining in power but they are not interested in coming out to vote because of what happened in Edo.
“They do not have trust in INEC. I have been going round and the complaint is that INEC is working together with the APC.
